Judah Turns 3 – Cowboy Style

My sweet friends Geoff and Calun’s son Juday turned three and they celebrated his birthday in grand Toy Story style, complete with a “pin the badge on Woody” game and an Army Men Hunt in the back yard.  I had not seen that many babies and young children in one room for a long time!  So many cute little ones crawling and toddling around!

The birthday boy!

Fun party details

Judah and Daddy (Geoff) – gotta love the cheeeeese!

So many stinking cute kids!

See the mischief in those eyes?  He dressed up his balloon as a cowboy.

The whole family together, aren’t they so cute!

Go! STOP. Goooooo. Stop. Aaaaaand…go!

I was looking at my blog today feeling it’s mournful lack of updates and thinking about all the reasons why I hadn’t posted.  Here’s a brief rundown of a few of the things I’ve been up to since my last post.  More extended posts of all these “previews” are coming soon!

Attended the MorningStar University Graduation

Traveled home from Charlotte.

Stopped for a wee bit, had a fantastic birthday party – complete with a creative mustache making competition…

Went to Seattle…

To help my dear friend Luz get married…

Luz & Cole were married on Saturday and then my friend Kendra got married to Jake on Sunday in Arvada, Colorado.  Yes I had two weddings in two days in two states.

That brought me home in time to shoot engagement photos for Leigh and Mike…

And accomplish a challenging wedding day photography assignment for Ryan & Christy.

Now I’m back in North Carolina with my mom to have a little vacay at the beach with our extended family on her side!

I’m still running my Summer Portrait Specials through the end of August and then I’m moving to Charlotte, North Carolina!   As you can tell my schedule books up fast so call or email soon to schedule your time with me!

East Highschool 30th Reunion

I had the opportunity to go with one of my mentors (Lynne Hart, Director of S.P.I.K.E.) to the first night of her 30th high school reunion and take some photos.  It was a fun challenge to photograph a room full of people who I really didn’t know at all who were all just doing their thing.  The quote of the night was “Oh my God, you look the same!”  I asked Lynne if after 30 years everyone really looks the same…she told me to wait until my 30th highschool reunion and find out haha!  It was much more of a photojournalistic type project and I enjoyed the chance to sharpen my invisibility skills.  ;)
