Story of My Life: Pretty Skies

Today I took what was intended to be a short nature walk that turned into a full blown adventure, complete with taking a new trail that led me down to a lovely sandly bank by a quietly flowing stream.  This trail also took me in the opposite direction of my car when I thought it was taking me back to it.  :)   Gotta love adventures!  I was on an artist date – an excursion that is solely for the purpose of refilling my creative well, finding beautiful things that make me feel alive and that stimulate that artistic side of me, so that I have creativity to pull on later when I need it.  Because I was trying to refill and not work I did not take my SLR with me, but I did snap a few pictures on my little whiteberry (I have a blackberry that is white and my friends call it a whiteberry haha!) that I thought I’d share with you!  The sky was too pretty not to capture at all!

If you want to read the full detailed account of my adventure you can check it out here. :)   Happy adventuring!

Something Pretty – A Foggy Day

Yesterday was foggy and overcast and gray and melancholy and lovely and romantic and haunting and picturesque so I decided to push past my desire to stay warm and cozy inside and set out to try to capture a bit of it.

This is what my street looked like by the time I was done.

Let It Snow #somethingpretty

I was digging through some photos from last year in search of possible prints to make and I stumbled across some cool (get it?  snow?  cool…anyway) photos from last year’s snow on Christmas Day when I was out at my Grandparent’s house in the boonies in North Carolina.  Even if you don’t like my puns hopefully you like the pictures! :)

This one (below) is one of my Christmas cards this year.

There hasn’t been any sign of snow – although we’ve had some frost – in South Carolina yet but I’ll be in Colorado next week through New Years so I expect to see some then.
